Dustin Kennedy is a Canadian writer from Barrie, Ontario, the very setting of What the Silence Said, though he now lives with his family in the woods of Muskoka. A lifelong lover of stories, Dustin grew up with Tolkien in his ears, read aloud by his Papa Dave, whose voice sparked a passion that never left.
Though he had started other books, none felt quite real until this one. Born from a simple conversation and a single question—”What would a 10,000-year-old man be like?”. This story evolved into something deeply personal. It became a way to explore philosophy, connection, and what it means to truly feel.
Influenced by Cloud Cuckoo Land, A Farewell to Arms, and The Lord of the Rings
